Saturn remains retrograde

 Saturn is now in Libra, and made its first of several hard angles to Pluto back on November 15th last year.  Though Saturn is at its functional best in Libra, that it has to contend with Pluto, means we all are hitting a hard place before we can take full advantage of Saturn in its sign of exaltation.  With the ingress of Saturn into Libra, the focus of sergeant Saturn moves onto the law, justice, as well as peace, beauty and harmony in relationships.. and long-standing issues are necessarily sorted out with Pluto in the mix.  Relationships that have been plodding along without resolving problems will now have to take a scrutinizing look at how to solve them, or they may end entirely.  Have a reading to see how stressfully this aspect will hit your chart.

Mars is retrograde in Leo until March 10th.  While you have had your foot on the gas peddle, the car just hasn't been moving.  Better to keep it in reverse and coast back to projects that you left on the back burner, and finish them once and for all.  When things go forward, you'll be glad you had a short respite.  Depending on what areas of your chart Mars rules over, this could affect your health, money, job, love life or any other area.  A reading can quickly pinpoint where this retrograde is affecting you, how to navigate through it and when things will turn around.  Saturn also is retrograde in Libra.  Relationships often need a real overhaul, and sometimes just giving attention where it is needed can improve them tremendously.  On the other hand, Saturn just made its second square (90 degree) angle to Pluto (transformation) of three squares before year end.  You could be between a rock and a hard place, and unable to make progress right now.  Sit tight and wait things out, all the while taking a serious look at what path is in your best interest.

Pluto will be in Capricorn for many years to come.  As we have begun to see, there will be a slow but persistent shift in our world focus from foreign affairs to big business.  We've already seen some big corporate breakdowns and renovations underway as the government scrambles to revive them.  A look at the Patriarchal side of our society will see some renewal and change there too.  Pluto brings death, destruction and resurrection.. so in the sign Capricorn, we can expect more breakdowns of business and the economy.. and a slow rebuild over many years.  What we've seen so far is just the tip of the iceberg... the destruction from Pluto usually flattens things to the point of numbness before the resurrection phase begins.  We can expect that even with temporary buzz of economic recovery, the planetary alignments of the next few years greatly resemble those of the Great Depression from 1929 to 1931 and beyond.  Any market lift is likely a rush of hope without real substance behind it.  Be cautious, and save rather than take risks.

The next couple years holds a series of oppositions between Saturn and Uranus.  

Saturn = structure, Uranus  = rebellion.
