This is our 2nd full moon this month – thus a “blue” moon. Full moons and particularly full moon eclipses highlight relationships and the oppositional energy pits one view against another. High stress and water retention in the body and brain requires rest around these times. Try to avoid decisions and likewise beware of arguments as the full moon climaxes. Knowing the house/sector of your chart where the eclipse culminates is crucial to knowing where the energies will play out in your life.
This eclipse falls in the US chart’s 8th house of joint finances putting attention on our deals and deficiencies in this area. (See chart above) After years of outsourcing jobs to China, back in 2015 China and Russia took charge of their financial futures, and those of hundreds of other countries that joined them when they launched the AIIB (Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank). The trading has continued as the RMB (and bond) is backed by gold. Notice how much ‘gold’ is being flashed on major network TV, the photo op with Mnuchin at Fort Knox and during this lead up Bruno Mars had his “24 Karat” song. These are not accidents.. these visuals help the public easily accept the coming changes. Of course in the meantime, they manipulate the rise of precious metals so only the bankers and insiders will stock up before the imminent rise. The chart of the AIIB Articles of Agreement will have a powerful Jupiter station in March, so much of the organization’s operations are being ironed out expanded, and put into action. We will eventually be hearing more about financial cooperation between the US with other countries, and it is clear as China and Russia continue to move forward with their gold backed trading instruments, that the U.S. cannot fall too far behind in getting on the wagon. Otherwise we will lose trade advantages, as the dollar will continue to fall as interest rates rise. With the problems in the US with thousands of businesses closing stores across the country, we cannot afford to also lose the trade war.
Chiron also rises in the eclipse chart in Washington DC and squares the MC (President), so this can easily represent wounds to the President, including the fiction book that made news headlines this month having had an impact.
And now, a short note of caution on reading Sun sign columns, listening to generic astrology “predictions” that don’t reference specific charts, or astrologers that cite general transits without examining all angles of a situation, as giving a specific result. Here’s a personal anecdote. Over the holidays last year I had a fever and what I thought was the flu. Of course I don’t get vaccinated so considering studies show people who do get vaccinated easily spread the virus to others, I was more than a little annoyed to feel sick. A supposedly “certified” astrologer claimed I was paranoid! And if that weren’t crazy enough, that I would feel better when the moon made a trine (120 degree angle) to a planet in my chart. I was flabbergasted that a certified astrologer would make such a claim on a generic transit like a lunar angle that occurs twice every single month. Of course I knew this was ridiculous.. this particular ‘astrologer’ never looks at actual charts, he goes from memory often citing wrong data. Adding to the incorrect astrology, he said based on the house Mars was in, the illness would pass quickly. Not only is this ridiculous, how a certified astrologer cannot know that Mars is hot and not only rules fevers but surgery is just plain frightening. What might they tell an actual client? Any decent astrologer taking a quick look at my chart would have seen numerous other factors contributing to a more serious situation. Imagine if he had told a non-astrologer this will pass quickly, and they ignored symptoms of something more serious based on his casual “predictions”? Of course I had to laugh at how ridiculous everything this quasi astrologer had said (“Mars is strong, you should be fine soon.”) as I was wheeled into surgery, ruled by Mars, a few days later. But I am an astrologer and I knew this was chatty and unfounded nonsense.
On a similar note, and the reason for these anecdotes, clients often come to me citing hearing a planet such as Jupiter in their sign, and not understanding why everything wasn’t going great in their life. While Jupiter can bring expansion and opportunities, you must always see the whole chart, and speak to the person to see what is going on and how Jupiter may correlate with a positive learning experience and in what area. Sometimes a disappointment or a negative experience is a great learning tool and the result is expanded awareness yielding future benefits. Jupiter, a new moon or a “sextile” or “trine” doesn’t always mean peaches and cream – in fact to expect that without seeing all the other factors in a chart is just plain ignorant and will set you up for disappointment and bad decisions.
