Jupiter moved into Sagittarius today. Jupiter is a social planet, outside of our personal boundaries, and brings like-minded groups together. With Jupiter changing signs into its home sign, this brings an openness to new opportunities and expands your optimism. Issues in the Sagittarius areas of your chart seem to be opening up and going well. Jupiter opens your awareness through these opportunities that come in these areas of your chart as well, so you may generally be more positive here than negative.
While you may think Jupiter is Sagittarius is automatically great for all Sagittarians or your Sagittarius planets, there are several mitigating factors to be aware of. High hopes do not always mean getting everything you want, and not getting what you think you want is sometimes an even better learning experience.
While there is a freeing up of the need to dig deep and feel intensely as you reached out (or retreated) while Jupiter was in Scorpio, the overall tone with this transit is the focus on beliefs and philosophies. It’s hard to go anywhere these days without hearing some political topic being spoken about or debated. Jupiter also can bring out overly boisterous opinions and views to individuals and groups that band together. So depending on your relationship to the topic of the day and whether it fuels you or drains you, this transit can have a variety of effects. Be aware of your personal needs; to participate or not, within the public displays that come your way.
Astrological charts with other fire planets and/or angles, (in trine aspect) can seem to have the most beneficial opportunities fall in their laps now. These can always be mitigated by other harder alignments in the chart.
So what can go wrong? For starters, Jupiter has been in good aspect to Saturn all the while it was passing through Scorpio the past year or so. This was positive for drive and follow through on a course of action.
Jupiter will, in a few months, be making a square to Neptune (fantasy, vision and dreams). This brings up the idea of making dreams a reality in a big way. You’ll need to do a reality check with what you are actually doing to make your dreams happen or see if your ideas are not possible to carry out. Start testing your goals now to see if your vision can be concretely manifested or you may find you are wasting your time.
Where is Jupiter in your chart now, and what aspects is it making by progression or solar arc and how is it triggering your inner and outer life? If you want a current map as well as one for the months ahead, contact me for a personal reading and we will go over the best times to use Jupiter’s transits as well as all the other planets’ moves to optimize your efforts.
Mars will station to travel retrograde on June 26th – and return to direct motion on August 28th. There are always times astrologically when it is more beneficial to take action, and other times when it is more prudent to hold back and revise your plans. Most understand a Mercury retrograde. The differences here are the repercussions of impulsive actions during a Mars retrograde can trip us up causing us to really louse up our future. The summer Ingress chart also has a number of confrontational opposition aspects that can make it more difficult to hold back when you feel strongly about or are frustrated over something. See the Ingress chart above with Venus opposing Mars (relationship stresses) on the Nodal axis (fated contacts and opportunities), Mercury opposing Pluto (Mental obsessiveness and power plays) as well as the extremely limiting Sun Saturn opposition right across the Ascendant/ Descendant Axis.
What can happen if you take rash actions or exert on Mars Rx:
Cause a war to break out
Create arguments and rifts
Injure yourself, or your head
Hurt feelings and alienating others
Exhaust your body
What To Do on Mars Rx:
Reformulate plans and strategies
Go back to an action that was shelved
Rest more and Rehabilitate
Approach conflict with a cool head
Listen to others’ opinions (and politics) objectively
With these basic cautions out of the way, you will also need to know in which house or houses of your chart Mars will be going retrograde. The 4th house – you may redecorate and/or resolve deep seated family issues. With the 2nd house, your focus may be on finances, values or possessions. Take it slowly as Mars retrograde won’t really allow you to push through abruptly.
Mars will station to travel retrograde on June 26th at 9 Aquarius 13 – and return to direct motion on August 28th at 28 Capricorn 36. These degrees become extremely important if the Mars stations are conjunct a planet or angle of your chart.
You can really precipitate a desired outcome by plotting out objectively (Aquarius) how you want to handle issues that have long been a permanent hardship (Capricorn) and come out with an entirely new outlook and path if handled well.
If you’d like a concise overview of your personal trajectory through your chart during this period, contact me by June 30th and we can schedule a short phone call for 1/3 the cost of a full reading. We will go over how the Mars Rx will personally affect you within your natal, progressed and directed charts and some strategies for making the best progress during this period as well as how to avoid the pitfalls.
Today’s full moon falls at 8°10’ of Sagittarius. Full moons highlight relationships, and in this area of the zodiac we are having our attention brought into a wider sphere of social and philosophical truths.
The U.S. chart is having a nodal return, therefore forging and maintaining relationships are quite important at this time. The US chart also has Mars on the South Node stirring up financial stresses in a trine to Uranus (see chart above) in the 6th house of jobs and also the military. Of course the military is an area where there is tremendous funding and tremendous attention is being placed to improve the situation (jobs). The financial situation here is something I have lectured about and presented the charts of the dollar as well as other countries’ currencies, and shown that we already have passed the last Saturn cycle for the dollar. It will have to have a new structure if it is to sustain another 30 year cycle. Already trade is being made outside the dollar for oil, which was a tremendous slap to the ‘petrol’ dollar and its monopoly over that trade.
Mars will be retrograding over most of the summer, and now while mars has already entered the degrees where it will be going retrograde. It would be a good time to take stock of areas where you have put yourself out there, and will then need to back track a little and refine your position during the summer months, before forging ahead with full force in the fall.
What does this full moon and the Mars retrograde mean for you? If the degree of the full moon or the Sun in this chart hits your chart directly, it is a call to address relationships or situations surrounding the area in your chart where Sagittarius and Gemini sit. Other key planets of this full moon that aspect planets, angles or points in your chart can also make this a key time to get objectivity and not overreact to situations that are reaching a climax now.
All full year ahead readings always covers all the current transits and and full moons, Solar and Lunar eclipses within the year of your reading, in addition to everything else personally coming to fruition in your chart via progressions, directions, return charts etc. being reflected in your life. Contact me here with questions or to schedule a reading.
This is our 2nd full moon this month – thus a “blue” moon. Full moons and particularly full moon eclipses highlight relationships and the oppositional energy pits one view against another. High stress and water retention in the body and brain requires rest around these times. Try to avoid decisions and likewise beware of arguments as the full moon climaxes. Knowing the house/sector of your chart where the eclipse culminates is crucial to knowing where the energies will play out in your life.
This eclipse falls in the US chart’s 8th house of joint finances putting attention on our deals and deficiencies in this area. (See chart above) After years of outsourcing jobs to China, back in 2015 China and Russia took charge of their financial futures, and those of hundreds of other countries that joined them when they launched the AIIB (Asia Infrastructure Investment Bank). The trading has continued as the RMB (and bond) is backed by gold. Notice how much ‘gold’ is being flashed on major network TV, the photo op with Mnuchin at Fort Knox and during this lead up Bruno Mars had his “24 Karat” song. These are not accidents.. these visuals help the public easily accept the coming changes. Of course in the meantime, they manipulate the rise of precious metals so only the bankers and insiders will stock up before the imminent rise. The chart of the AIIB Articles of Agreement will have a powerful Jupiter station in March, so much of the organization’s operations are being ironed out expanded, and put into action. We will eventually be hearing more about financial cooperation between the US with other countries, and it is clear as China and Russia continue to move forward with their gold backed trading instruments, that the U.S. cannot fall too far behind in getting on the wagon. Otherwise we will lose trade advantages, as the dollar will continue to fall as interest rates rise. With the problems in the US with thousands of businesses closing stores across the country, we cannot afford to also lose the trade war.
Chiron also rises in the eclipse chart in Washington DC and squares the MC (President), so this can easily represent wounds to the President, including the fiction book that made news headlines this month having had an impact.
And now, a short note of caution on reading Sun sign columns, listening to generic astrology “predictions” that don’t reference specific charts, or astrologers that cite general transits without examining all angles of a situation, as giving a specific result. Here’s a personal anecdote. Over the holidays last year I had a fever and what I thought was the flu. Of course I don’t get vaccinated so considering studies show people who do get vaccinated easily spread the virus to others, I was more than a little annoyed to feel sick. A supposedly “certified” astrologer claimed I was paranoid! And if that weren’t crazy enough, that I would feel better when the moon made a trine (120 degree angle) to a planet in my chart. I was flabbergasted that a certified astrologer would make such a claim on a generic transit like a lunar angle that occurs twice every single month. Of course I knew this was ridiculous.. this particular ‘astrologer’ never looks at actual charts, he goes from memory often citing wrong data. Adding to the incorrect astrology, he said based on the house Mars was in, the illness would pass quickly. Not only is this ridiculous, how a certified astrologer cannot know that Mars is hot and not only rules fevers but surgery is just plain frightening. What might they tell an actual client? Any decent astrologer taking a quick look at my chart would have seen numerous other factors contributing to a more serious situation. Imagine if he had told a non-astrologer this will pass quickly, and they ignored symptoms of something more serious based on his casual “predictions”? Of course I had to laugh at how ridiculous everything this quasi astrologer had said (“Mars is strong, you should be fine soon.”) as I was wheeled into surgery, ruled by Mars, a few days later. But I am an astrologer and I knew this was chatty and unfounded nonsense.
On a similar note, and the reason for these anecdotes, clients often come to me citing hearing a planet such as Jupiter in their sign, and not understanding why everything wasn’t going great in their life. While Jupiter can bring expansion and opportunities, you must always see the whole chart, and speak to the person to see what is going on and how Jupiter may correlate with a positive learning experience and in what area. Sometimes a disappointment or a negative experience is a great learning tool and the result is expanded awareness yielding future benefits. Jupiter, a new moon or a “sextile” or “trine” doesn’t always mean peaches and cream – in fact to expect that without seeing all the other factors in a chart is just plain ignorant and will set you up for disappointment and bad decisions.

What’s Going on in May? After all the retrograde planets in April (four!) frustration from stalled projects and endless waiting is finally subsiding. Venus went Direct (April 15th) affecting personal relationships – now getting back on track. Financial setbacks, also related to the recent Venus Retrograde, should have begun to sort out as well. Mercury was retrograde until May 4th – and is now direct. During Mercury Retrograde our attention is drawn to the importance of details, communication, and of keeping technology up to date and backed up. Mercury leaves the shadow (ending the retrograde cycle) on May 21st.
Last week’s full moon in Scorpio may have brought on some outbursts of emotion because it also coincided with Uranus (havoc/impulsiveness) conjoining Mercury (communication). Are all your relationships still intact from that planetary fiasco?
We are now getting the first glimpse, from the political news stories, of the theme of the major eclipse that will fall right across the U.S. on Aug. 21st. Recently the nodal axis has been crossing that same zodiacal degree (29 degrees Leo/Aquarius) the past week where the eclipse will occur. As I mentioned in my workshop last October (see video), the 29th degree of Leo is also Trump’s Ascendant/Descendant axis. The stories in the news now will come to a head at the August eclipse time – and we will (hopefully) find out the truth to all the ‘Fake News’ (Saturn/Neptune) stories about Russia as well as what is really going on behind the scenes with Trump, the FBI, North & South Korea and many other global issues. And an easy guess as to who is hacking into the world’s computer systems is seen by noticing none of our financial systems or stock trading has gone down…yet. A test-run perhaps? I spoke all about the deception in the media correlating with the Saturn/Neptune square as well in my Forecast workshop. Clues are on the major TV shows if you know where to look!
On a positive note, Saturn, now retrograde – provides us with our last opportunity to restructure areas of our lives where Saturn is now transiting in Sagittarius. Yes, there is always some good that comes with Saturn’s influence to help us structure and discipline wherever we are lax. A reading will clarify on which area(s) to focus to get the most of this last retrograde before Saturn moves into Capricorn in December. The next Expo in N.Y. is not until October, so if you missed my last workshop, and don’t know what’s coming down the pike, get the DVD of the workshop see preview below of thevideo to get up to speed on the coming drastic Economic Indicators in the Planets. Already 40% of Citibank’s cash machines have gone off-line. Buy 1 DVD and/or accompanying CD/Booklet “Practical Preparedness to 2020 & Beyond” and get an organic seeds starter pack free! What a deal!
With last Monday night’s new moon in Aries we passed the midpoint of the Venus Retrograde. Last Friday, Venus swapped places with the Sun in its path and became a morning star, rising above the horizon ahead of the Sun. While Venus as a night star is more synchronous with love and poise, Venus the morning star (and especially in Aries, the ram) is bringing our fiercest temperaments out of dormancy. Relationships and friendships are being challenged and many are breaking up, as people seem to be on the verge of losing it’ over just about every tiff. But it isn’t just Venus in a less than agreeable sign now, because Mars, the other relationship planet, is in its most obstinate and least progress-oriented position – Taurus. Mars wants to move ahead and accomplish things, while Taurus wants to languish in the pleasure (or annoyance) of the moment and find reasons to stay put exactly where he is right now. It is easy to get caught up in these negative patterns now.. so try to make time to sort out what is most important and what isn’t and let go of whatever energies you may be generating unconsciously that keep you from progressing. Now is the best time to get in touch with what you value and what to let go of that is standing in its way. Is it a better paying job? Self-respect? Being more creative? All of these come up for analysis now. With Venus and Mars in each others signs (mutual reception) there is always some good to come out of whatever difficult scenarios that may arise.
In keeping with the Venus/Mars theme, after many years of keeping my readings at the same cost, I am now raising my rates and slightly modifying my policy. There is some good news along with this! Current clients and subscribers (or if you are reading this blog April 1-8) you may book a session at my old rates by contacting me by April 8th and secure the session by paying in advance by April 15th. Unless you are a consistent returning client, I require payment in full before all readings. PayPal users now pick up a (small) PayPal fee to use the system. You are always welcome to pay by check or money-order to avoid the few extra dollars. I look forward to seeing many of you in the coming months to keep you centered along your path and knowing the astrological climate ahead before it arrives.
