Jupiter moved into Sagittarius today. Jupiter is a social planet, outside of our personal boundaries, and brings like-minded groups together. With Jupiter changing signs into its home sign, this brings an openness to new opportunities and expands your optimism. Issues in the Sagittarius areas of your chart seem to be opening up and going well. Jupiter opens your awareness through these opportunities that come in these areas of your chart as well, so you may generally be more positive here than negative.
While you may think Jupiter is Sagittarius is automatically great for all Sagittarians or your Sagittarius planets, there are several mitigating factors to be aware of. High hopes do not always mean getting everything you want, and not getting what you think you want is sometimes an even better learning experience.
While there is a freeing up of the need to dig deep and feel intensely as you reached out (or retreated) while Jupiter was in Scorpio, the overall tone with this transit is the focus on beliefs and philosophies. It’s hard to go anywhere these days without hearing some political topic being spoken about or debated. Jupiter also can bring out overly boisterous opinions and views to individuals and groups that band together. So depending on your relationship to the topic of the day and whether it fuels you or drains you, this transit can have a variety of effects. Be aware of your personal needs; to participate or not, within the public displays that come your way.
Astrological charts with other fire planets and/or angles, (in trine aspect) can seem to have the most beneficial opportunities fall in their laps now. These can always be mitigated by other harder alignments in the chart.
So what can go wrong? For starters, Jupiter has been in good aspect to Saturn all the while it was passing through Scorpio the past year or so. This was positive for drive and follow through on a course of action.
Jupiter will, in a few months, be making a square to Neptune (fantasy, vision and dreams). This brings up the idea of making dreams a reality in a big way. You’ll need to do a reality check with what you are actually doing to make your dreams happen or see if your ideas are not possible to carry out. Start testing your goals now to see if your vision can be concretely manifested or you may find you are wasting your time.
Where is Jupiter in your chart now, and what aspects is it making by progression or solar arc and how is it triggering your inner and outer life? If you want a current map as well as one for the months ahead, contact me for a personal reading and we will go over the best times to use Jupiter’s transits as well as all the other planets’ moves to optimize your efforts.

A look at some of the outer planets to plan your fall trajectory.
What to look out for –
Jupiter is now traveling direct in Scorpio – so those with planets or points in this sign, or trine or sextile Scorpio – as in the water and earth signs, should be getting new opportunities and feeling positive about the future. A sense of optimism comes with Jupiter transits, so also look to the house where Jupiter is transiting. Jupiter enters its home sign of Sagittarius on November 8th where abundance and expansion in all things that broaden our lives and open our minds will start to come about.
Saturn, the builder, is now moving direct as well. Saturn structures our lives by pushing us to make thorough preparations for success. The direct motion of Saturn also assists with projects that were held up from progressing this summer.
October 6th Venus, planet of love and money, will go retrograde. What to do: resolve issues from a past romance, rekindle with an old love, find accounting errors and collect past due monies. What not to do: start a new romance, make large purchases such as an apartment, piece of art etc., do not try a new hairstyle as your stylist will have a different aesthetic than you do, same with cosmetic surgery. Only corrective surgery may be warranted. Photo shoots are also not recommended during this time for the same reason as the photographer will have a different perspective what looks good. Venus retrograde lasts until Nov. 16th and leaves the shadow on Dec. 10th.
On October 8th, we finally leave the shadow of the draining Mars retrograde from this summer. Scroll down to my How To Use Mars retrograde article from a couple months back to see if your experiences mirrored those described in my article. Projects that you may have been working on tirelessly are finally able to move forward with greater momentum now. Start to take action, but the real push will be most productive after the 8h of October.
Looking ahead to Nov. 8th, Uranus goes back into Aries where it will finally make its last station in that sign the first week of 2019. This should be your final call to straighten out any chaotic or disruptive circumstances or relationships, and to re-focus on your personal needs in whichever area of your chart where Aries is. If you don’t have your chart or can’t read it, contact me for a personal forecast with all the planets, return and retrogrades etc. affecting your chart for the coming year.
Pluto Now Direct & Full Moon Oct. 5th
We are well out of the Mercury Retrograde and smack dab in the middle of a Pluto Station. This is where Pluto stops its retrograde, grinds to a halt, then slowly begins to go direct again. Pluto is all about release and rebuilding, as well as power struggles. Projects that have been held up start to move with a fury from any prior struggle. Secrets and motivations are uncovered. You will find out the truth about long-delayed issues; it may not be pleasant, but you can’t fool yourself or anyone else any longer. This week’s full moon in Aries makes a square (challenge) to Pluto bringing everything to a head that hasn’t yet been addressed. Will you or a situation or person you are having an adversarial relationship with prolong the situation (Pluto is about control), or let go and find another way to get what you each want? While Venus and Mars are conjunct in Virgo during this lunar phase, perhaps there is a middle road where all involved can still stick to the rules, be less critical and find a happy medium.
