Lunar Eclipse, Mars & Mercury Retrograde

Lunar Eclipse – Jul. 27, 2018

July 27th we have a Full moon/Lunar eclipse. This eclipse falls at 4 Aquarius 44 and triggers the Mars retrograde which is sitting less than one degree from the eclipse degree.  You may be feeling held back from progressing in whichever area of your birth chart this eclipse falls, or you may literally need to contain your emotions this week. Because the eclipse is in Aquarius, some issues that may come up related to unspoken emotions around friendships, and frustration due to detachment in your emotions toward others, or of someone else toward you.

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is remain objective while emotions are being activated with an eclipse. The idea is when the moon is full, the light shines on the area or degree of the full moon. But when the full moon is eclipsed, emotions from past events are both stirred up from the past and repressed simultaneously. Reacting as opposed to reflecting will have a negative effect on relationships. As always with eclipses, don’t react as we are in the middle of these next two eclipses that finish the series this summer. So meditate on the past and family so you can release issues through the South node, and hold back on actions until you find the most optimal solution to any issues on the table now.

Other aspects to this eclipse when looked at from our nation’s capital (see chart above) add challenges in our position due to the area where this eclipse lies plus issues in the financial arena. Our finances are troubled here because of a T-square to Uranus in Taurus and a sesquiquadrate (square + a semisquare = 135°) to a very debilitated Venus in Virgo. The challenge seems to be playing out with the economic deficit that our administration is attempting to address with trade wars… which aren’t solving the problem.

[[ **NOTE – The day after this post went live. Trump ordered an end to the Trade War with the EU.]]

And if we look at the Federal Reserve chart (see chart below), it is being decimated right now with both the last eclipse on its Ascendant and this eclipse now in the 7th house of open enemies or rivals where the eclipse degree and South Node (old debts) sit. Trump recently made a comment about the Federal Reserve and Central Bank having policies that were set up to hurt the economy. Well, it certainly made the bankers rich! ..but to the detriment of the people. With Pluto (transformation/power plays) slowing down to station on the Fed chart’s Descendant (same as 7th house – rivals/enemies or partners) in October, we are looking at a battle to the death over this institution’s role or even existence.

If you haven’t been to my talks, I have offered many solutions to protect your savings when this change in the currency takes place. Contact me to buy my “Practical Preparedness for the 2010’s and Beyond” packet or CD, or copies of my recent information rich workshop on DVD.

And what could make an eclipse season more interesting than the flubs and fixes needed during a Mercury Retrograde? Not much! This summer’s retrograde runs from the eclipse day July 27th to August 20th. Don’t sign, don’t buy, and try not to put important messages in writing. They may be misunderstood or need revision, so do your research first. But do get your electronics fixed now!

Eclipse Season Summer 2018 Begins

Eclipse season begins with the first of three eclipses on Thursday July 12, 2018 (See chart above.)

The key issues with this eclipse are catharsis and the preliminary phase of reconstruction of some aspect of, or key area of your life.  First is recognition of the process you are dealing with, then letting go, and finally rebuilding. This is likely to apply to the area of your chart where this eclipse falls. It could be an issue of letting go of ego or status in relation to work, relationship, family, finances or anything else. You may have been trying to build up this area for some time as shown by the eclipse opposite Pluto in Capricorn. Capricorn is the sign of the slow building of structures. Pluto is not any fun to deal with – but it does clear out what is unnecessary.

Eclipses of the Sun have to do with your ego, your soul and your sense of centered-ness. It is now time to let go of aspects of this area you may have been building upon that might be taking you slightly off-course. Life provides a series of checks and balances to refine our direction to our most beneficial soul purpose. The eclipse falls in Cancer, so in this case this letting go is part of the process of focusing on a clearer sense of your own purpose in what you personally create or provide to the world and/or to upgrading your own self-nurturing.

Because eclipses can be disorienting when they hit your chart directly, I wanted to get this post up in time for the 1st eclipse.  I will post more in the forthcoming days on the next two eclipses, so stay tuned. As always, get rest and try to wait and not to react to people or surprises that pop up within the first few days of the eclipse. And if you’d like to be personally prepared for the often emotional ups and downs this eclipse and how the next two eclipses align with your chart, contact me for a Special eclipse reading by phone at 1/2 the price of a regular reading.
