Pisces Full Moon early September 14th

Full Moon Sept. 14th 2019 Washington DC

The Pisces full moon occurs just past midnight tonight/early Saturday Sept. 14th and as with all full moons, stress levels are heightened. This full moon highlights the excess of Virgo (specific, exacting, realistic) energies we’ve all been faced with the past few weeks. Being self-critical is only valuable if it spurs you on to fix whatever is not working properly to make it more efficient and useful.

Pisces is the sign of no boundaries, flow, wide vision and empathy and here is where we need to go to regain balance. We are being bombarded with news and societal changes that challenge the balance between our roles as individuals and our role as part of the collective. While Jupiter and Neptune square off inspiring us with grand dreams of a reality that may be not-so-easy to carry out, what comes up now is a need for renewed hope against what can realistically be changed.

Saturn (restriction/structure)still sits with the South Node of the moon and Pluto (regeneration/release)reminding us of our problem areas and blind spots. We must release these attachments to the past, whether to people, circumstances, or ideas in order to evolve to our highest expression. As Saturn stations to go direct on September 18th. This signifies a time when work produced before and during the retrograde period(since April 30th) can be resumed and will now begin to move forward. Mars squares Jupiter shows us that now is a good time to implement actions that with careful planning can be carried out.

The conjunction of Saturn (structure) and Pluto (evolution)is approaching and becomes exact early in January 2020. Jupiter (exaggeration) joins the configuration by the Spring Ingress on March 19th along with catalyst Mars. This is the triple conjunction of Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto that will be in effect throughout much of 2020. By December, we will deal with the new 11 year Jupiter/Saturn cycle in the air sign Aquarius. All of these alignments will be discussed in my upcoming lecture at The New Life Expo in October. (Information will be posted shortly.) As mentioned in my prior post, this is a time when we will be facing structural changes and restrictions, and will need to make bold choices as to how we want to proceed. As always, for insights as to how these and all the planetary alignments will affect you and your chart, contact me for a reading.

New Moon on Monday, February 4th, 2019

New Moon in New York City Feb. 4th, 2019

This new moon is the first lunation following January’s two eclipses. There are some very good aspects to the alignments here – particularly that the midpoint of the lunation & Jupiter falls on the Saturn / Pluto midpoint – treacherous pairing that straddled the January Solar Eclipse. This tells me that there will be renewed hope and opportunity to deal with the challenging issues brought up from that event.  Those who felt the full impact of the January 5th Solar Eclipse will feel a welcome relief, and  doors opening to handle the challenge that eclipse brought for January and that will carry through during 2019.

While I don’t ascribe to every lunation being monumental for every person, if a lunation does fall at a key point in your chart, the article in which I am quoted (link below) will resonate with those times.

I was quoted in Good Housekeeping’s article on New Moon Rituals. Take a look here.

If you would like some insight into the recent eclipses and your trajectory for 2019, contact me for a personal reading and we will go over what is coming up for you.

The January Eclipses

The period right before New Year’s eve through January has been extremely stressful for many. It is eclipse season- a time when two or three eclipses come in succession. During these times there are often sudden occurrences that require drastic changes of direction. Through no fault of our own we are forced to deal with sometimes outrageous happenings. It is important to remember that these events are forcing us to grow and that the changes are necessary because some area of our life has become stagnant and less productive. Sometimes a person in our life leaves through some unusual circumstance or even their passing.  The point is, it is not your fault, but you are just left handling the situation. What has made the January 5theclipse more difficult is the close proximity of Saturn (limits) and Pluto (transformation). Pluto is the Lord of death so those types of changes where you have to completely let go of a person are often very painful. In the case of the January 5th eclipse, both the Sun and Moon were besieged (surrounded) by Saturn and Pluto. This made it more difficult to move forward because there are intense issues that must be held in place, at least temporarily, so that you can really feel the depth of the problems and come to the correct response. It is best to not react immediately on an eclipse and give yourself time to sort out the issue(s). Often the eclipses fall in opposite signs of the preceding eclipse in the series, but in this case, we are flung into a new mode and sign. The lunar eclipse is now coming up on January 21st at 0° Leo 51’. This means the things that have left your life or may be leaving due to the recent eclipse will be followed by a sudden switch of focus toward something self-directed,self-involved, creative, heart centered that is at a very new or beginning phase (the zero or 1st degree). If either of the eclipses falls on a planet, personal point or angle of your chart, then the emphasis is even more pronounced. It will be as if one chapter closes and you are thrown immediately into the next one without time to hesitate. Do you know where these eclipses fall in your chart? Schedule a reading to get clarity on upcoming decisions related to these areas.

In New York, the full moon eclipse on the 21st falls on the MC/IC axis auguring some new changes within the city and Uranus (shocks, sudden reversals, technological shifts, enlightenment) at its stationery degree in Aries on an angle doubly emphasizes these changes coming in. We may be seeing some shocking events in New York with this lunar eclipse around the 21st that bring sudden  changes we weren’t expecting. What I am hearing now is it is going to be far colder on Monday- in fact 35 degrees colder than it will be on Sunday. There are technologies that can change the weather that haven’t been openly disclosed that may have to do with this. Listen for the high pitched tone the day before. Keep your warm clothes and a heating pad nearby to stay warm- and hope the technological emphasis in the city’s chart won’t mean a power failure!

Venus Retrograde – Old Loves & New Values

This year from October 5th to November 15th Venus will be retrograde from 11° Scorpio to 25° Libra. What does it mean when Venus is retrograde? Venus stands for love, values and pleasures. Love can be harder to come by either romantically or with friendships, and the inflow of money can slow down. Now is also the time for review of what you value in closeness with others as well as your worth for your work.  During this part of Venus’ cycle, old loves or friends either come back into your life to be reassessed or finally dismissed.

Things/people come back:

  • Old loves
  • Friends and people from the past
  • Objects we lost may now be found

What to do when these things return?

  • Reassess who the person/object is and decide what relevant value they had in your life. Now is a good time to appreciate what you learned or gained from the relationship. Resolve the past, let it go, and move on. On occasion, this cycle can bring back a relationship that will remain in your life – but that would depend on numerous factors being present in your chart.

What not to do when these things return?

  • Do not get attached to the past – this is a cycle for review.

A New Relationship?

This Venus retrograde begins in Libra, the sign of balance, justice and relationships. This is an ideal time for things to be evened out and put back into proper balance in relationships with others. With a new love, the retrograde Venus will likely have the new love only present part of the picture when around you or communicating with you.  This may not be deliberate – but you still will not see the entire scenario in which you may be getting involved. You will not see their entire motivation, nor know the safety of the situation. This includes intimacy – you don’t know the person’s past yet, or who they fully are, so play it safe and wait.

This is not the time to make a big purchase – because if you are impulsive, you will spend more than necessary, and may regret the purchase later. Objects of art, a new home, anything to do with décor or beautifying yourself (haircut/color, cosmetic surgery etc.) will all not turn out as planned. Either more research needs to be done on your part, or the information you are getting is not complete. You may have a different aesthetic than the person selling you the surgery, the haircut or that new iPhone – so you will need to be cautious. I knew someone who went into a photo shoot and the photographer decided to touch-up all the photos before showing them to the client. The photographer made the client look 18 when they were 40, so none of the photos could be used! Different aesthetic = expensive lesson. Another person bought an apartment during the retrograde, and it wasn’t until the sale was nearly complete and the scaffolding came down across the street that they saw their view was a real eyesore – a hot pink awning. They ultimately did not complete the sale and lost most of their deposit.

The fortunate part of Venus Retrograde –

In purchases, often at this time, someone needs to sell something to make money fast and you have the opportunity to buy the item at a much reduced price! Someone gets the short end of the stick.. so let it be the ‘other’ person! It is a good time to go to estate sales, yard sales, and sales in general. As long as you heed the advice that you may buy something and change your mind once you get it home, and do not overspend, you can get some great buys during Venus retrograde.

Other things you can expect are for money to be delayed that you are counting on, or surprises with money and partnerships. Review what you value and your personal values during this cycle. You may find a job is not up to the same level as your more confident self-view at this time.  If that is the case, look for a better job. The same goes for relationships. While fighting during this retrograde may seem productive, find out where you may not be feeling valued in the relationship and communicate that and make alterations. Try not to be secretive, as Venus is in Scorpio for much of this retrograde and that makes us want to hide our deeper feelings.

Unsure of a new love? Think you should break up? Get a new job? What does it mean if Venus is going to ‘station on a planet or angle of your chart? A professional look at your chart can clarify in what area(s) exactly what is happening in your life with the Venus retrograde. Contact me and let’s see whether Cupid or Venus Retrograde is bringing in new or old loves into your life.

Fall Forecast 2018

A look at some of the outer planets to plan your fall trajectory.

What to look out for –

Jupiter is now traveling direct in Scorpio – so those with planets  or points in this sign, or trine or sextile Scorpio – as in the water and earth signs, should be getting new opportunities and feeling positive about the future. A sense of optimism comes with Jupiter transits, so also look to the house where Jupiter is transiting. Jupiter enters its home sign of Sagittarius on November 8th  where abundance and expansion in all things that broaden our lives and open our minds will start to come about.

Saturn, the builder, is now moving direct as well. Saturn structures our lives by pushing us to make thorough preparations for success. The direct motion of Saturn also assists with projects that were held up from progressing this summer.

October 6th Venus, planet of love and money, will go retrograde. What to do: resolve issues from a past romance, rekindle with an old love, find accounting errors and collect past due monies. What not to do: start a new romance, make large purchases such as an apartment, piece of art etc., do not try a new hairstyle as your stylist will have a different aesthetic than you do, same with cosmetic surgery. Only corrective surgery may be warranted.  Photo shoots are also not recommended during this time for the same reason as the photographer will have a different perspective what looks good. Venus retrograde lasts until Nov. 16th and leaves the shadow on Dec. 10th.

On October 8th, we finally leave the shadow of the draining Mars retrograde from this summer. Scroll down to my How To Use Mars retrograde article from a couple months back to see if your experiences mirrored those described in my article. Projects that you may have been working on tirelessly are finally able to move forward with greater momentum now. Start to take action, but the real push will be most productive after the 8h of October.

Looking ahead to Nov. 8th, Uranus goes back into Aries where it will finally make its last station in that sign the first week of 2019. This should be your final call to straighten out any chaotic or disruptive circumstances or relationships, and to re-focus on your personal needs in whichever area of your chart where Aries is. If you don’t have your chart or can’t read it, contact me for a personal forecast with all the planets, return and retrogrades etc. affecting your chart for the coming year.

Final Summer Solar Eclipse ~ New Moon in Leo

Eclipse series come in threes, and we are now  – Aug. 11th, experiencing the 3rd and final of the summer series of eclipses for 2018. Most of the areas in our lives that needed attention for clearing out were likely addressed with the last full moon eclipse that was conjunct the south node. The south node has to do with outworn areas of our lives that we may be holding onto out of habit. Whether you left or lost a job, a pet, a lover or a friend keep on mind the sooner you let go of the person, friend or emotion, the sooner you will release the pain associated with holding onto something that is leaving your life.

Where this Solar eclipse lands in your chart highlights new activities for the coming months. In many cases this eclipse falls in the opposing house from the last eclipse. This will take you in an entirely different direction, and highlights exactly why you had to let go of the dead weight from the last eclipse on July 27th. In the sign Leo is where we look for the joy we hopefully experienced in our childhood in this area. Have you been avoiding this due to responsibilities you no longer need? That’s a good question to ask yourself if you feel stuck between letting go and moving on right now.

In some cases, this eclipse will also expose weaknesses in the house where it occurs. Whether this it manifests as a health issue that must be addressed, a financial emergency or a psychological breakdown or breakthrough, look at the positive side of these occurrences and see that you are being alerted to deal with these issues now before they get worse and out of hand.

A quick note that this eclipse falls on the (correct) Ascendant for the President, and will likely augur an entirely new chapter of his personal effectiveness. He may be letting go of many daily activities that were draining his focus (tweets?) as shown by the recent lunar eclipse and delegating these tasks to others.

The yod to the solar eclipse point in the Solar eclipse chart (see above) augurs an awakening of our collective egos as we watch the developments on the world stage. The truth has never been so hard to come by  with the base of the yod in deceptive Neptune along with Pluto, ruling the masses. As Internet superpowers continue to block alternative media in all areas, it is incumbent upon all to listen to ideas that test the status quo in your personal beliefs and past education, or conditioning as it may be.

1/2 price Eclipse readings by phone are available for both old and new clients for the next week or so and after that they will go away. Contact me here asap to schedule. This will also be my last blog post for a while, as I am going to take advantage of the eclipse energy myself. So enjoy what is left of the summer and stay tuned for some exciting developments.

The Great American Eclipse – as Mercury Retrogrades

The Great American Eclipse

Not since 1918 has an eclipse path cut straight across the United States from coast to coast. On August 21st, The Great American Eclipse will do just that.  Beginning at 1:15 PM EDT the 73 mile wide lunar shadow will darken the continent from Oregon to South Carolina giving us continued observation of the event for a full 90 minutes. Not only is the visibility going to be exciting for those who have never seen an eclipse, but the over-stimulation and likely instability that eclipses have been noted scientifically to bring psychologically and physiologically is sure to bring some fluctuations to the not-so status-quo. There is no better time to get your heads out of your phones, get offline and really get centered.

Many still are now either holding onto outrage from the political and media circus we are witnessing, and some have begun to fall into complacency – read this article for a detailed opinion: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-07-17/navigating-through-storms-im-losing-my-sense-outrage

Things are on their way to reach a climax, and that is what these next eclipses will usher in, and necessarily so. Most people, I hate to say it, need to have a brick fall on their heads or hear an impassioned tirade like in the film “Network” to be shaken out of their apathy. And to those who have marched, protested, phone banked, donated and still find themselves at wits end – there will be more and better options soon to assist in getting things back on track personally and socially.

New Leo Moon conjunct Mas (action and ego) July 23rd 0° Leo 44” With Mars conjunct this new moon, it infuses assertiveness and action, or anger and frustration to the house in your chart and areas in your life where this lunation occurs.

We ave entered the shadow of the coming Mercury Retrograde which will color this entire eclipse period into the fall. Decisions, contracts, technology and trips all must be thought out and planned very carefully and no details left out in order for the eclipse period to not completely sabotage your efforts. Mercury begins its trek closer to the earth, peaking at the station.  During the entire period (see dates below) all details, discussions, communications, contracts, travel and technology need extra care and consideration.  Contracts and agreements will likely need to be amended if signed during the retrograde. Delay if possible. Dates and degrees are as follows:

Mercury Retro shadow – entered July 25th (slip-ups and errors in judgment begin)

Mercury Station Retrograde – August 14th

Mercury Direct Station – Sept. 6th

Mercury leaves the shadow – Sept. 19th

Full Moon Eclipse August 7th – 15° Aquarius 25” – This is the heightened period of the new moon from July 23rd. Get ample rest as this full moon will heighten issues brought up by the new moon in Leo. This eclipse brings up your relationships with others and whether or not there is a level of fairness and equality surrounding them. With this eclipse falling on Trump’s Descendant, issues with both partners and open enemies will be ‘eclipsed’ as in blocked or delayed in the coming months. Do not underestimate the power of this eclipse over circumstances going forward. If decisions on partnerships can be delayed even by a few days or a week, you will be less likely to make an error in judgment by rushing into anything. Breathe.

Full Solar Eclipse Aug 21st – 28° Leo 53” – This is the most talked about eclipse of all as it will cut directly across the United States. See the photo of the eclipse path at the top of this post. Because the moon blocks the Sun’s light, the symbolism mirrors the idea that actions will be blocked in the area in which the eclipse falls in your chart and where the eclipse path travels. For the nation, this can be interpreted as anything from grids going down to some sort of downfall to the leader and populace of the country where the eclipse path crosses. In Trump’s chart, this eclipse conjuncts his Mars. With Mars ruling Trump’s 9th house of law, he may have his powers blocked, so look for legislation to limit his ability to carry out his actions or stop actions initiated by Congress. A solar eclipse generally augurs some sort of permanent change to the area in which it falls whether geographically or in the sector of your chart. Expect extreme turnarounds in those areas. Contact me for a consultation to find out where the eclipses will occur in your chart and how to prepare and make the most of the shifts.

Keep in mind, the Mercury retrograde occurs simultaneously with these eclipses. Expect plans to be changed, minds to be changed and just like a Uranus transit, with an eclipse, expect the unexpected. When Mars crosses the eclipse degree on Sept 3rd – 4th, we can expect an aftershock or full blown explosion, figuratively or literally, as a climax to this entire nearly two month period.

More information about the eclipse visibility in your area can be found here: https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/solar/2017-august-21
