This new moon is the first lunation following January’s two eclipses. There are some very good aspects to the alignments here – particularly that the midpoint of the lunation & Jupiter falls on the Saturn / Pluto midpoint – treacherous pairing that straddled the January Solar Eclipse. This tells me that there will be renewed hope and opportunity to deal with the challenging issues brought up from that event. Those who felt the full impact of the January 5th Solar Eclipse will feel a welcome relief, and doors opening to handle the challenge that eclipse brought for January and that will carry through during 2019.
While I don’t ascribe to every lunation being monumental for every person, if a lunation does fall at a key point in your chart, the article in which I am quoted (link below) will resonate with those times.
I was quoted in Good Housekeeping’s article on New Moon Rituals. Take a look here.
Eclipse series come in threes, and we are now – Aug. 11th, experiencing the 3rd and final of the summer series of eclipses for 2018. Most of the areas in our lives that needed attention for clearing out were likely addressed with the last full moon eclipse that was conjunct the south node. The south node has to do with outworn areas of our lives that we may be holding onto out of habit. Whether you left or lost a job, a pet, a lover or a friend keep on mind the sooner you let go of the person, friend or emotion, the sooner you will release the pain associated with holding onto something that is leaving your life.
Where this Solar eclipse lands in your chart highlights new activities for the coming months. In many cases this eclipse falls in the opposing house from the last eclipse. This will take you in an entirely different direction, and highlights exactly why you had to let go of the dead weight from the last eclipse on July 27th. In the sign Leo is where we look for the joy we hopefully experienced in our childhood in this area. Have you been avoiding this due to responsibilities you no longer need? That’s a good question to ask yourself if you feel stuck between letting go and moving on right now.
In some cases, this eclipse will also expose weaknesses in the house where it occurs. Whether this it manifests as a health issue that must be addressed, a financial emergency or a psychological breakdown or breakthrough, look at the positive side of these occurrences and see that you are being alerted to deal with these issues now before they get worse and out of hand.
A quick note that this eclipse falls on the (correct) Ascendant for the President, and will likely augur an entirely new chapter of his personal effectiveness. He may be letting go of many daily activities that were draining his focus (tweets?) as shown by the recent lunar eclipse and delegating these tasks to others.
The yod to the solar eclipse point in the Solar eclipse chart (see above) augurs an awakening of our collective egos as we watch the developments on the world stage. The truth has never been so hard to come by with the base of the yod in deceptive Neptune along with Pluto, ruling the masses. As Internet superpowers continue to block alternative media in all areas, it is incumbent upon all to listen to ideas that test the status quo in your personal beliefs and past education, or conditioning as it may be.
1/2 price Eclipse readings by phone are available for both old and new clients for the next week or so and after that they will go away. Contact me here asap to schedule. This will also be my last blog post for a while, as I am going to take advantage of the eclipse energy myself. So enjoy what is left of the summer and stay tuned for some exciting developments.
With last Monday night’s new moon in Aries we passed the midpoint of the Venus Retrograde. Last Friday, Venus swapped places with the Sun in its path and became a morning star, rising above the horizon ahead of the Sun. While Venus as a night star is more synchronous with love and poise, Venus the morning star (and especially in Aries, the ram) is bringing our fiercest temperaments out of dormancy. Relationships and friendships are being challenged and many are breaking up, as people seem to be on the verge of losing it’ over just about every tiff. But it isn’t just Venus in a less than agreeable sign now, because Mars, the other relationship planet, is in its most obstinate and least progress-oriented position – Taurus. Mars wants to move ahead and accomplish things, while Taurus wants to languish in the pleasure (or annoyance) of the moment and find reasons to stay put exactly where he is right now. It is easy to get caught up in these negative patterns now.. so try to make time to sort out what is most important and what isn’t and let go of whatever energies you may be generating unconsciously that keep you from progressing. Now is the best time to get in touch with what you value and what to let go of that is standing in its way. Is it a better paying job? Self-respect? Being more creative? All of these come up for analysis now. With Venus and Mars in each others signs (mutual reception) there is always some good to come out of whatever difficult scenarios that may arise.
In keeping with the Venus/Mars theme, after many years of keeping my readings at the same cost, I am now raising my rates and slightly modifying my policy. There is some good news along with this! Current clients and subscribers (or if you are reading this blog April 1-8) you may book a session at my old rates by contacting me by April 8th and secure the session by paying in advance by April 15th. Unless you are a consistent returning client, I require payment in full before all readings. PayPal users now pick up a (small) PayPal fee to use the system. You are always welcome to pay by check or money-order to avoid the few extra dollars. I look forward to seeing many of you in the coming months to keep you centered along your path and knowing the astrological climate ahead before it arrives.
